Sri Lanka
Natural Ceylon Spinel
Spinel spent centuries misidentified as ruby, including in more than one crown jewel. It is almost never treated, which means what you see is what came out of the ground, and that alone is worth something in a market where most corundum has been through a furnace. Sri Lanka produces it in red, pink, violet and a grey blue that collectors have started chasing.

We can still find you spinel
Nothing in this category is on the site at the moment. That is normal. Single stones sell, and what replaces them depends on what the cutters bring in that month rather than on a restocking schedule.
Most of what we sell never reaches the website. Tell us the weight, colour and budget you have in mind and we will look for it, then send photographs, video and the certificate before you commit to anything. If we cannot find it at a sensible price, we will say so.
- Carat weight, or a range you are happy with
- Colour, and whether it needs to be unheated
- Your budget, which saves us both a week of guessing
- When you need it, if there is a date
