About Ceylon Trinity Gems
We sell Ceylon sapphires and coloured stones to buyers who would rather read a specification than a sales pitch.
How we buy
We buy in Sri Lanka, close to where the stones come out of the ground. That matters for price more than anything else on this site. A sapphire that passes through three dealers before reaching a shop window carries three margins with it, and none of them made the stone any better.
Rough is cut here as well. When we say a stone was cut to keep colour rather than weight, that is a decision someone made in front of us.
How we sell
Every stone lists weight, dimensions, shape, colour, treatment status and origin in the same order, on every page. Anything sold as unheated carries a laboratory report, and the scan is on the page. Prices are public.
We do not run countdown timers, invented discounts, or a permanent sale. A stone is worth what it is worth, and inventing urgency around a natural object that took a few million years to form is not a good look.
What we will tell you
If a stone has an inclusion you would notice, we say so. If a colour photographs better than it looks in the hand, we say that too, and send a video. If we do not have what you want, we say that rather than steering you toward what we do have.
Most of this business runs on people coming back and on people telling other people. Neither survives one bad stone sold well.
Come and see
If you are in Sri Lanka, you are welcome to look at stones in person. Write first so we can have the right things out on the table.
